Mayura Academy (Regd No. 4616) is a school of performing arts which made its own place in the enormous ocean of the performing arts. The institution was started in the year 1990 by K.C.Venkata Ramana and K.C.Srivani under the eminent guidance and blessings of their parents sri K.C.Damodaram & Smt. K.S. Sarala. Both of them are specialized in traditional Kuchipudi dance form. Smt K.C.Sri vani is also an accomlished Veena artist. Her husband Sri Kapa Srinivasa Rao is also an accomplished artist in the percussion instruments of Mridangam,Ghatam,Morsing and Kanjeera.

The academy is dedicated in striking out the inner talents of the students in a friendly approach. The students of the academy are trained in the theoretical and practical aspects of the Kuchipudi dance.

In the past 18 years of its journey, the academy has trained up more than 400 students according to the prescribed syllabus of Telugu University and Central University. Most of the students have appeared for certificate exam conducted by Telugu University and passed the examination with flying colors.

The Students are given a good opportunity and exposure by making them to participate in various cultural activities and also a value added course of training is given in various other aspects of dance such as stagecraft, makeup, nattuvangam and choreography.

The academy also conducts periodical examinations, to bring out the Competitive spirit in the students, for felicitating a symbolic growth in them by maintaining higher standards.

The academy has branches at Moulali, Dr.A.S.Raonagar. Venkata Ramana has migrated to Australia and has started a branch at Sydney (Australia).
